If you were a guard, what type of guard would you have become? How sure are you?
- I wold of been a nice guard, because one I saw how the prisoners were suffering. i would of became even nicer and try to help them.
What prevented "good guards" from objecting or countermanding the orders from tough or bad guards?
- Once they saw how the tough guards were acting they themselves might have also became tough as well.
If you were a prisoner would you have been able to endure the experience? What would you have done differently than those subjects did? I f you were imprisoned in a real "prison" for five years or more could you take it?
- I might at the end became a little more tougher. I would probably make a lot of noises to control them. No, I wouldn't be able to take five years in prison. I'm clastrophobic and because of that I wouldn't be able to handle it.
Why did the prisoners try to work within the arbitrary prison system to effect a change in it, rather than trying to dimantle or change the system through outside help?
- They just pretty much wanted their own way to control the whole prison system. Having to much power has also went a lot through their head.
What reason does Zimbardo give for guard brutality at the end of the video?
- He wanted to be able to control them and have the power to do whatever to them.
How do you think woman would have handled this situation?
- I think women would of been tougher, because us women know what to say that can really make you think.
Was it ethical to do this study? Was it right to trade the suffering experience by participants for the knowledge gained by the research?
- Probably they didn't thought that they would get this far in the experiment or think to have these results.
How do ethical dilemmas in this research compare with the ethical issues raised by Stanley Milgram's obedience experiments? Would it be better if these studies had never been done?
- Yes it shows us how us human beans could really be, and why we do things that aren't just right.
If you were the experimenter in charge, would you have done this study/ Would you have terminated it earlier?
- I think I would lasted that long, because i hate seeing people suffering more if you know their just innocent.
